How Much Sod Do I Need?
Sod comes on pallets, typically covering 450-500 square feet per pallet. Order 10% extra to account for curves, cuts around obstacles, and waste. Measure irregular shapes by dividing them into rectangles and adding the areas.
Most sod pallets weigh 1,500-2,000 lbs — factor in delivery if needed. Install sod within 24 hours of delivery and water heavily immediately after laying.
